LORD, today I held within my hand
a tiny piece of Your creation
Suddenly I could identify with how
similar was our foundation!
The shell was perfectly curled and formed
housing the life within
And I thought of how You form us
and place our spirit within.
The shells that house our spirit
are as varied as can be
I just have to stand in awe
as I look deeper to see...
How uniquely You formed each one
and how beautiful in Your sight
Thank You, Precious Jesus, for giving me
my shell, filled with Your wondrous light!
(c) 2013 Karen Langford Brown
"Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold,
I will cause breath and spirit to enter you, and you
shall live; And I will lay sinews upon you and bring
up flesh upon you and cover you with skin, and I will
put breath and spirit in you, and you (dry bones) shall
live; and you shall know, understand, and realize that
I am the Lord (the Sovereign Ruler, who calls forth
loyalty and obedient service)."
