Abide In Me
Abide In Me
Abide in me, and I in Thee
for I am as nothing without Thee
When forsaking Your advice and help
no happiness can there be.
I invite Your Spirit, Lord today
to go before me on my way
And may I be of service Lord
as I represent You today.
Lord, why are we so very willful
wanting things to go our way
When You may want something different
so who are we to say?
Without Your leadership and guidance
our choices may not be...
In line with what You have designed
what is best for me.
So today Lord, I ask of Thee
to renew Your Spirit within me
To awaken and refresh my soul
to ever be mindful of Thee.

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more
can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are
the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the
same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me
ye can do nothing."
John 15:4-5
