He Does Console

He Does Console

LORD, this wayward soul that I am
please save and make me whole
As You have done for so very many
our spirits You do console.
Wash us anew in Your mighty stream
that cleanses white as snow
We will come forth renewed, refreshed
this we truly know.

So today I place my hand in Yours
and go forth to seize this day
Walk along beside me Lord
and lead me on the way.
When I stumble, hold on tight
pull me up once again
Show unto me the heavenly path
bring me through the thick and thin.

(c) 2015 Karen Langford Brown

"Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God,
even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath
given us everlasting consolation and good hope
through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish
you in every good word and work."
2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17
