A Better View

LORD, today I heard such awful news
that made me sad within
Why can't we rise above it all
and put away all the sin?
As Your lost sheep we look to You
to guide us on our way
And take away the burdens
that threaten us today.
We believe that You are with us
and that Your promises are true
So why do we allow these things
to distress and make us blue?
So easily we lose our focus
and take our eyes off You...
When we could run to Your Word
that gives us a different view.
Give us eyes to see today that
You are never far away
And that You will always lead us
to find that better way.

"Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt
preserve me from trouble; thou shalt
compass me about with songs of
deliverance. Selah. I will instruct thee
and teach thee in the way which thou
shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
Psalm 32:7,8
